as usual, this starts with 'don't kill me'. I can't find(and this will go into my SC folder) how I speed up the loading of charts. Remember my issue was I have HEAVY tick charts going back years so big big data. When I restart and open SC beginning of the week omg it takes 10-15min to load up the data-heavy ones. I get a combo of 'downloading contin data contract and waiting to download historical data' pop-ups. Also, if I got away from the desk and the computer goes on standby it will take 5min for those charts to come back up. You sent me some instructions, which I did, and it didn't honestly do much at all to improve the time to load all my old data. I recall you saying to do it once a week. Anyway, can you resend that, please? It does honestly take as long as I say thank you John, Karen |

We looked back at your board posts to find exactly what we would have told you 9 months ago, but we can not find any posts related to the time to load data. The one thing we can think that we would have suggested would be to "Compress" older data, which consolidates the data into a higher time frame. This way the search through the file can be a bit faster. But, if you are loading a lot of 1 tick data, then it is just going to take some time. Refer to the following for the information on how to compress older data: Intraday Data File Management We did find one post that was related to this topic, so we weren't sure if this might have been what you are looking for: Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Downloading/Viewing More Historical Intraday Data For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
