Is there a way to REVERSE the 'Reset DOM Current Bid/Ask Volume'?

Sometimes I wanna reset the volume so I can see whats going on at each 10Min candle as it forms.... BUT sometimes I wanna see the bigger picture of the whole days volume action.

My current chartbook setup is split screen as follows (For trading/hedging the same eMini symbol against the Micro one)

On the left - Micro 3Min chart and Micro Dom (Showing eMini data - but trading the Micro symbol)

On the right - eMini 10Min chart and eMini Dom (Showing eMini data - and trading the eMini symbol)

But even though I have separate DOM's for each symbol - when i click the 'clear bid ask vol' it clears 'BOTH' DOMS... (I'm guessing because they are both using the eMini data)

I want to keep ALL the session Volume on the Micro Dom, and reset the emini DOM per each candle so I that have the best of both worlds....

Is there a way to do this from the same Chartbook (Preferred method)... or would I need to create 2 separate ChartBooks (Minis & Micros) for this to work?

If not, 'secondarily' I dont mind if there's a button I can press to REVERSE the resetting of the Volume and show ALL of just 'this sessions' volume. Then I can just keep switching back and forth - Reset/Show All.

Thanks

The only way you would be able to have the full Recent Bid/Ask Volume along with a clean Recent Bid/Ask Volume would be to use different instances of Sierra Chart. Otherwise, even with different Chartbooks, the data for the Recent Bid/Ask for a symbol is stored in the same place, so when you reset it in one chart, it will reset it for all charts that use that symbol in all chartbooks in that instance.

Refer to the following for more information on starting a new instance:
File Menu: New Instance (File)

Also, there is not a way to reverse the information, as the Recent Bid/Ask is transitory - so there is no way to go back to a previous state.
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

If you are using current traded volume, then adding a session/day VBP to the DOM would provide equivalent information.

Hi User907968,

That's an excellent idea actually.

I have one on my chart but want to see the volume on the DOM to match it closely with orders as they happen and I didnt even know you could add that to the DOM.

Thx a lot

Is it possible to have the VBP study I've added on the DOM back to back like the generic DOM version?

I couldn't do it with 1 study so...I've tried adding 2 studies to the DOM, but I cant get them back to back...only side by side or front to front.

Thx

We do not know what you are referencing in terms of the "Generic DOM Version". But the VbP study does not allow for "Back to Back" studies at the DOM. They will only stack and face to the left side of the monitor.

Generic DOM Version - I meant the 'Current bid ask' VBP histogram bars that is generic in the DOM and not an added study from the studies section.

Thx anyway
