I have TWO completely separate installs of Sierra Chart: One for AMP and another for APEX. I trade off the APEX install every day. Rather than reconfigure my APEX Sierra Chart installation once a month, to connect and disconnect to my AMP account (outlined here Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Connecting Only Once a Month to Trading Account to Support CME Group Exchange Fees), can I simply shut down my APEX configured Sierra Chart installation and start up my AMP configured installation for 10 seconds or so? I'm assuming the once-a-month check / requirement is a stored value on the server side of things (not client side) and that this method will suffice? And one other quick question: Do I have to load a chart when I do this, or is the act of connecting to my funded account enough? Thanks, |

Any instance of Sierra Chart can be connected to a live account and the other instances will automatically update. You should not even have to disconnect and reconnect. This should happen automatically as needed. No chart has to be open when you do this. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
