I have a funded account with Interactive brokers and am paying for package 11 and Full CME Group with Market Depth for non-professionals. I have a few questions regarding the live data. Q1-How do I get live data? Please see the third photo here showing the connected state with interactive brokers; what else do I need to do besides this? Q2-2nd photo is telling me that I am using 1 of the 3 services only, what does that mean? Q3-Also, will I always need to have Trader Workstation running in the background to see live CME charts? |

In the image you provided regarding the data, the data is still being downloaded, so you will not have the updating real-time data until that is done. We see you are using a Continuous Futures Contract, so depending on how much data you are requesting to download, it could take some time. If you have finished downloading and you are still having an issue, then let us know. Q2-2nd photo is telling me that I am using 1 of the 3 services only, what does that mean?
It means that you are running Sierra Chart on one computer. You can install and run Sierra Chart on up to 3 different computers, if you want to. Note that the data feed uses a different set of rules for this. Q3-Also, will I always need to have Trader Workstation running in the background to see live CME charts?
Yes and no. Yes, you will need to have it running as long as your Sierra Chart software is setup with Interactive Brokers as the Current Selected Service. But, if you want to, you can change your service to SC Data - All Services, in which case you will not be connecting to the TWS software and therefore do not need to have it running (as far as Sierra Chart is concerned). When you make the change to the service, be sure you answer 'Yes' to the question about changing symbols for the new service. Also, if you are not going to stay connected to TWS, then make sure you connect at least once a month in order to verify your non-professional status for the CME Group. Refer to the following: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Connecting Only Once a Month to Trading Account to Support CME Group Exchange Fees For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
