hi
i have an algorithm in excel that tells me when to buy and sell
i want to connect it to sierra so if a specific cell changes in my excel it will issue an action of buy/sell (short/long)
all of the parameters (symbol,amount....) will be at the sierra spreadsheet.
how can i do it?
thank you

The way to do this is to copy your algo to Sierra's standalone spreadsheets, then reference the cell within the Spreadsheet System for Trading study's spreadsheet.

the problem is that my algo is written on vba excel
its not on the sheet
it runs macros every sec and it paste to the sheet when it thinks i should buy/sell

I've never tried this but...

The Spreadsheet System for Trading study does not have the option to Use Excel, but the Spreadsheet Study study does. Add this to the chart, and it will create a new .xls from where you should be able to use VBA, and then reference the cell from the Spreadsheet System for Trading study's spreadsheet.

Two things that may mitigate its proper functionality:
-The reason Use Excel is not available in the Spreadsheet System for Trading:
Excel to Spreadsheets
-The use of external Excel sheets is allowed but if there are any issues, it is not supported.
