I want to do draw volume profiles on a daily chart, but without the overnight Globex data. And I want to have it go back to the beginning of the contract, and even string together older contract to have these daily bars going back years. I am simulating a day session only daily chart by using a 405 minute chart, but it won't allow me to go back too far to see older data. |

Historical Daily charts will always include 24 hour trading data. You need to use an Intraday chart as you are. You will not want to draw the Volume Profile, you will need to add a Volume by Price study through the Analysis >> Studies window. You will need to use the Continuous Futures Contract feature: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_ContinuousFuturesContractCharts.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
