Hi, I set a sell stop order with attached orders. The sell stop order got filled (see pic from trade log) and the target got filled, too (see same pic). However, the corresponding profit has NOT been recognized. This is on SIM, but is relevant enough to understand how this can be so? I look forward to hearing from you - thanks. |

Hi John, I have gone over them, it does not resolve the issue though that the entry and exit orders were filled, but the profit is still not recognized in the day P/L. Can something like this also happen in live trading? Pardon if I am asking anything obvious, but the matter is sufficiently relevant to understand how an entry and exit order can be filled but the profit is not recognized? I you have anything more specific to try to get to the bottom of this matter, it is much appreciated. Many thanks, Michael |

However, the corresponding profit has NOT been recognized.
Where in Sierra Chart are you looking for this Profit/Loss value specifically? Are you looking at this particular value on the Trade Window: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main/C >> Daily or Net Profit/Loss (DailyPL / NetPL) Being all of the trading profit/loss calculations are based upon order fills that Sierra Chart has, yes of course it can happen with live trading. This is only an information issue. It does not affect order entry. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Thank you for the follow-up, it is much appreciated. Yes, I was looking at this particular value in the Trade Window, where the profit of that trade was not showing. If I understand your message correctly, when saying that "this is only an information issue. It does not affect order entry", is my interpretation correct that if this would have been live trading, there could be an information error on the daily P/L value in the Trade Window, but my live trading account balance would have recognized the profit? If the latter is correct, then this is a minor issue and I put this matter to rest. Thank you again for your support and follow-up. kind regards |

Yes this is exactly correct: , there could be an information error on the daily P/L value in the Trade Window, but my live trading account balance would have recognized the profit?
