Hi Sierra Chart,

Some of our traders are experiencing issues with the trial version of Sierra Chart.

Trials are active and they have the green bar but the platform is not receiving any data.

Our chartbooks that we provide come with a quote board that has all the contract codes and even this quote board is blank with no codes at all.

One solution we have found is to just skip the trial and go straight to SP5 Base advanced but I would like to know if there is a way to get the trial working so everybody can have a chance to experience Sierra Chart and the order flow on SIM before starting a sub. A few traders also reported that installing an older version fixes the issue but again I would like to know how to fix this on the latest version.

There definitely should not be an issue with this. The Delayed Streaming Data is available for free with any valid Sierra Chart package, including trials.

The most likely scenario, if they are using a chartbook that was given to them, is that they are using a different "Service" which would then have different symbols. To correct this, open the chartbook and then select Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service.

They should start getting the delayed streaming data right away.
