Hi - Tom was helping me with some trading via alert but I have moved up to spreadsheets and I am getting a syntax error... =AND(CROSSFROMABOVE(C,BF), CROSSFROMABOVE(DU,EG), AO>=8,AO<=16, AO[-1]>=8,AO[-1]<=16, AO[-2]>=8,AO[-2]<=16) First test is for a cross over of a VA line, second is a VA line in Region 2 for an study/price overlay of a symbol for another chart, and the last three checks are to limit ATR to between 8-16 for the last three candles. Is there an obvious error in the spaces etc. or am I adding in incorrect column references? Thanks Cad |

A few items offhand: - The column references need to include a range. You can not use just C and BF. You need to specify C3:C1000 and BF3:BF1000. - the offsets for the bars does not work in Spreadsheets. You need to reference the cells, so you would have AO3 and AO4 and AO5, where AO4 is the bar before the most current one and AO5 is 2 bars back. Thank you John. So, does this look correct please: =AND(CROSSFROMABOVE(C3:C1000,BE3:BE1000), CROSSFROMABOVE(DP3:DP1000,EI3:EI1000), AO3>=8,AO3<=16) |
