I'm trying to hedge two instruments and would like to chart what a proper hedge ratio would look like, but I'm not sure which indicator to use to accomplish this? For example, if I have 1 lot of January CL and would like to hedge it with 3 lots of September CL, what would I use to show their proper weights/strength? If I use a multiplier on one it simply multiplys the price; it doesn't show the proper weighting/strength of the ratio of the two instruments. Would I just use a simple ratio chart and change the multiplier, or something else? Any help is appreciated. |
