Guys I'm sure they are aware of the problem. and I'm sure they are not trolling the message boards but instead working on a fix. Other than during the last 15 minutes of the problem, we were not aware of the problem. While the support board is actively monitored, sometimes there are extended times where it is not monitored. However, for years now our server processes are monitored and management is notified when there is a problem. The process that failed was a real-time process that was not monitored because it is something that rarely has any trouble. The primary reason for the problem was a bug in Microsoft's own code. This was functionality, that has only recently begun to be used in the real-time server program in order to provide authorization for data. A complete discussion of this is here: NOTICE: Sierra Chart Real-Time Data Feed and Support We acknowledge, this was not good and we have now put monitoring in place and the underlying problems are going to be resolved. While sometimes problems can be expected, we really do not want to see problems go on anything more than seconds or minutes or maybe 10 to 15 minutes at most. Once everything works very well, and it generally has been in recent months, we are not constantly watching this board or our server processes. We instead just rely upon audio notifications from monitoring webpage that several of us have access to that alert us to any trouble. This is where our focus will continue to be to make sure all aspects of the data feed are being monitored. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
