Hi there

Is it possible to build your own TICK and Advanced Decline line for DAX and Eurostoxx in Sierra Chart if I get a data feed with tick data from Frankfurt Stock Exchange? I have been looking around and havent found any Data feed where these indicators already are calculated...

If anyone knows a data feed where these are already calculated, please let me know! :)

Cheers

I think TELETRADER will have it. Acording to SC they are ready to start it only waiting for Teletrader.

You can do it with Interactive brokers as well, but its pretty painful with the pacing errors. I have built a few simple tools for breadth indicators but will be switching to TeleTrader as soon as its available as IB is not suitable intra day.

Thanks for the information!

No idea to open an account with Interactive Brokers then...

Do you guys have any at all idea when TeleTrader will be available?

Can anyone confirm that TeleTrader supplies A/D lines AND/OR $Tick for EuroStoxx, Dax or any other european markets??

@ Question to SC engineers: I had this question already once a couple of years ago and that time the answer was "too expensive" - but is there any chance that SC calculates those market internals just like for the US markets?? That would be REALLY REALLY REALLY great!!

You need to ask Tele-trader if they offer these.

There is no way we can do this because it is too expensive. Yes it would be really great but the exchanges obviously do not want this. They do everything possible to stifle competition and innovation.

Have you looked at IQ feed? They have TICK and AD for London Stock exchange, works ok with FESX.

Otherwise you can build custom TICK and AD for your market (but not in Sierra) Follow me on twitter if you like (@Altum75)

oh really they have? hm. great would be a tick for all major european exchanges in one symbol.

SC: I did as TT, but I never am sure if thy understand at all what I want (seeing their answers and questions). and then finally they said they had AD but no TICK.

Altum: will follow you.

one more question to SC eng:
just in theory. I have no experience with your spreadsheets, but is it possible if I have eg a TelTr feed to build my own Tick and AD within SC with spreadsheets?

Spreadsheets are not efficient enough for market statistics calculation.

Has anyone had any luck with a Market Breadth indicator for DAX on any platform?

nope. looked into this some years ago, think I could find something similar like AD line with TeleTrader (but not sure), but they had no clue of what a $Tick is. And IF so, I would like it for total Xetra, not for 30 stocks.
I you find it -- pls post :-)

I am still interested in a TICK (and AD) for EuroStoxx and/or Dax, so I thought its some years ago now, I risk asking again SC :-)

No, this is something we could never foresee offering due to the cost and the state of the world. Follow the suggestion in the prior post.
