Hi, I have an alert that generates a buy signal after every green bar above MA. It is set to 4 tick take profit.
It seems to be only taking one or two trades consecutively even though there are a lot more signals being generated as you can see from the screenshots.
Ideally I would like it to open multiple trades and add to the position every time we have a signal but I cant seem to get any of it working.
Any advice please?
Thank you

Change the following Inputs on the study:
- Maximum Position Allowed: Set this to some value greater than 1, so at least 2.
- Allow Multiple Entries in Same Direction: Yes

Thank you, I have already tried these with no luck. I think I tried every combination under these settings.
I'll check out the documentation but please let me know if you have any other suggestion.
I am not trying to open multiple positions at the same time in this instance. It should close the position and re enter in the next signal as the take profit has already been hit before the next signal is generated.

Successive TRUEs from bar to bar will not create a new signal because there must be a transition from FALSE.
You need the option to Reset Condition On New Bar, but the Trading System Based On Alert Condition stiudy does not have that option.
(The same setting on the Alerts tab has no affect for trading signals.)

Unless that option were to be added to the study, you would need to use the Spreadsheet System for Trading study instead.

Thank you Tom, this is the answer I was looking for. I hope Sierra chart team will implement this soon as I don't really like coding in spreadsheet.
