As you can see in the video, the charts are flashing and the menus are blank.

I started with 2448 and upgraded to 2453. No change. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes for this to ocure.

I am not sure what is causing this, please help.

This is an operating system level problem. Close down other programs, and restart Sierra Chart. If that does not help restart your computer.

However, being it happens after a while there may be a resource leak. Go to the Windows task manager and look at the Number of GDI and User objects. You have to add those columns. This is going to be on the Details tab. See if those are increasing significantly over time.

If so that would be the source of the problem but Sierra Chart should not have these leaks. Maybe it is caused by a custom study.

Is there a threshold for abnormal GDI/User objects?

Give that this is appearing at about 30 minutes, what is significant?

In our case this is what we see:
449 User objects. (Higher than we would like but Windows is not very efficient)
143 GDI objects. (Reasonable)

If the problem occurs after a period of time it does indicate an object leak somewhere.

Thank you.

Is there a way to document all the studies in a chart? A text file of the studies or even the studies and the input values?

No there is no automatic way to do this. You just have to look at them through Analysis >> Studies and check the settings on them.
