i want to access the profile delta on the VBP indicator...Currently I have it displayed on the profile in the settings under show chart values on profile,
Ask Volume - Bid volume...in 94....Is this data accessible for an alert? I want an audible alert using this data and it is not listed among the 21 subgraphs for this indicator, so how do I access the profile delta for writing an alert?

You can not access the data from the Volume by Price profile directly within Sierra chart. It is only available by creating a Custom Study.

Therefore, you have to find another way to get what you want. In this particular case: Ask Volume - Bid Volume, you can get from the Numbers Bars Calculated Values study. You would just have to create a chart that has the same time period as the Volume Profile you are interested in, then add the Numbers Bars Calculated Values and turn on Subgraph for Ask Volume Bid Volume Difference.

Then you can create an alert on the Numbers Bars Calculated Values subgraph.

Refer to the following:

Thanks for prompt response,

How can this be done with reversal bars, since there is no time multiple i dont see how to make equivalent. If I use a 8 bar reversal chart and 10 period VBP..
Can the numbers bars collect a running total of last 10 delta's ask-Bid?

any way to plot cumulative delta last 10 bars?

MC has a separate cumulative delta instrument so all i have to do is c- c[10] for whatever chart im using....and the delta is plotted as a histogram...

The Numbers Bars study will display the data per bar for whatever bar period you have.

With regards to the Cumulative data, there are a number of options if you want to accumulate the data since the start of the trading day - such as Cumulative Delta Bars - Up/Down Tick or Cumulative Sum of Study. But, since you just wan the last 10 bars, you would need to do this using either the Spreadsheet Study or the Spreadsheet Formula study. Which one you choose is really a matter of preference.

In the Spreadsheet Study you would enter the following into row 3 of one of the calculation columns (K-Z by default):
=SUM(ID1.SG1@3:ID1.SG1@12)

Where ID1 is the ID number of the Numbers Bars Calculated Values study and SG1 is the Ask Volume Bid Volume Difference subgraph. The @3 and @12 tells the spreadsheet to start at row 3 and sum the data through row 12 (10 bars of data).

In the Spreadsheet Formula, you would have to do the following:
=ID1.SG1 + ID1.SG1[-1] + ID1.SG1[-2] + ID1.SG1[-3] ...

Where ID1 is the ID number of Numbers Bars Calculated values study and SG1 is the Ask Volume Bid Volume Difference subgraph. The ... would be replace by your repeating the pattern out to ten bars.

Refer to the information for these items at the following links:

Is there also a way to make the Imbalance % value accessible to a spreadsheet or to use in an alert formula?
It is calculated as (Volume Above POC - Volume Below POC) / Total Volume.

The POC is available as SG2, but how do I determine the volume that transacted above and below? And how would that work in live conditions?

There is not an easy way to get the Imbalance Percentage. Apart from creating a custom study, the only option would be to output the Volume by Price data to a Spreadsheet and then see if you can work through the data to find what you are wanting. Refer to the following:
