I need to do a spreadsheet study on Initial Balance.
I see (to me) it works only on 60min bars chart
If I set a daily charts the Initial balance indicator doesn't work.
I need an acceptable historical data example to make the study and if I set a 60min bar with IB it is not enoght.
Please let me know
Regards

For what time period do you want to calculate the initial balance for? If it is less than 1 day, then you cannot use a Daily bar chart.

If you update to the latest Sierra Chart release, you can access more reliable historical data when using Interactive Brokers. Refer to the version notes for version 1141.

For the day, I want the usual Initial Balance the range from 8:30 to 9:30 Central. I have Rithmic datafeed, but having the Sierra Package 3 I have Sierra Historical data. I just want to use a daily chart because it goes back more days. If I do it on a 60min chart I get the same result but for much less days.

Calculating a 1 hour initial balance requires a Intraday chart. And the time period per bar cannot exceed 1 hour and needs to evenly divide into 1 hour.

Update your copies of Sierra Chart the latest version and use the Continuous Futures Contract feature on an Intraday chart:

On your daily chart, use the Study/Price Overlay from the 60 Min Chart.
