trading in SC from multiple locations

We're currently exploring the feasibility of trading the overnight markets and need to know if we can run the same "account" in SC from different locations (not at the same time).

Here's the use case:

We have TWO separate CPUs in our office, each running a separate instance of SC (under a single installation). One account is TrueNorth, another is ShortArcturus. These user names are then tied to separate accounts at Dorman (E3810 AND E3812 for TN and ECOO3 and ECOO4 for SA).

We're interested in trading in the overnight hours from another location than our office in the TN account. Is this possible? Our thinking would be to get another CPU and load a third instance onto that computer, then log in under TN. Wasn't sure if it would be that easy. We would NEVER be trading the TN account from multiple locations at the same time.

Would there be an additional cost? Would this be considered another instance?

Thanks for your help in getting this figured out.

If you are not running the connections at the same time, then there is no issue and there is no additional cost.

Each account is allowed to have the Sierra Chart software running concurrently on up to 3 different computers. And since you are using the Professional exchange option, you are not limited to the same rules as the Non-Professional exchange options, which only allows for 1 computer unless a second exchange fee is paid.

Thank you John.

Apologies for the confusion; I have some questions around nomenclature - I'm trying to make sure I'm doing this correctly.

1. From what I can tell, we have 1 "instance" of SC for which we have two accounts - is this correct?
2. Would we need a separate instance to trade on these accounts or just load SC onto the new cpu and login?
3. If we eneter a trade in one location and enter into a position, and shut down one connection and log into another (same account), would our stops carry over?

Thank you for your help.

1. We can see that there are two accounts that are both coming from the same IP Address. But what we can not see is how you have these Sierra Chart installations setup. You would have to tell us that. Do you have multiple installations on one computer, or are you using multiple computers with one installation each?

2. This depends on how you want to use the system and whether the two of you are using it at the same time. Also, it depends on whether you want to share a single setup or each of you wants things to display differently. If you let us know how you want to set things up, then we can tell you how to do it.

3. It looks like you are using our Teton Order Routing Service, therefore the Targets/Stops are always maintained on a server separate from your local system, so they will always be there. The only time this will not be the case is when you are using specific "Client" orders or "Market if Touched" orders.
