So again today I had some questions issues with the profit and loss management I have had previous thread related to these issues. I have my global profit and loss management disabled on my sub instances as you have recommended I had my global profit and loss managment set to trigger for a loss of -150 in my main instances This morning I took two trades in Treasuries First was a loss of -125. The second was also a loss which put me at a net loss of -235 It never flattened my position after -150 I was still able to place trades although at that point my NLV was below the day trading margin so I could not place additional trades I did not see any message the global profit and loss management had triggered in the service log. Only message that NLV was below margin requirements Thank you |

We do not provide support for this feature any longer. Please discontinue its use. Discontinue its use. We are no longer providing support for this feature at all. And we are considering removing it from Sierra Chart. We are working on a server-side implementation of this for Teton order routing. Once again we do not provide support for this and this has been documented here for many months: Global Profit/Loss Management: Introduction The functionality which is documented on this page, is not recommended to be used. It was developed in response to user requests, but it cannot work reliably on the client side. This functionality is going to be moved to the Teton Order Routing Service and managed on the server side in a highly reliable environment.
The functionality does work properly, but unless you really understand how it works, and it is all documented how it works, it is very easy for there to be problems. Unless you are very careful with the configuration of each chart involved in the calculation. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point.
