I want to use the time that the current bar opened on one of my charts and also overlay it to another chart to use that value. To do this I've used a spreadsheet and under cell K3 I've put =A3 and have set the number format to 'time' to display the time that the current bar opened. I added a text display study to show this time on my chart. When I do this, the value that the text display shows is not the same as what is shown in the spreadsheet. I have the value format set to 'time'. Can you tell me why it's not displaying the same value? When I overlay the value to another chart it is the same value as the text display not what is on the spreadsheet. I think there might be something wrong with how it's getting the value.

I've included a chartbook with only 2 studies in it. The spreadsheet and the text display. If you can please review it you will see that the values are different. The time on the spreadsheet for example might be 6:30:28 and on the display it will show something like 6:29:42. The value on the spreadsheet is correct however and is the time that the current bar opened. Thank you.

This is related to Floating Points and the variables that are used for the various items and all kinds of fun computer stuff.

What you need to do is to enter the following in the K column:
=FRACTIME(A3)

Everything should work out from there.

By the way, the chartbook you enclosed did not have any charts in it.
