Hello How can numbers bars with a zero value at the high/low of bar (finished auction) be highlighted? Is it possible to set an audible alert for the above? Thank You! |

There is not a way to highlight the High/Low when there is a zero value. In terms of an alert, this can be done by using the functions for BVAP and AVAP in combination with the Main price Identifiers of H (high) and L (Low). For example, to check if the Bid Volume at the High is zero, you would enter the following for the alert: =BVAP(H,0) = 0 Refer to the following: Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning: BVAP For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi, Is there a way to extend this please to stipulate that there's an ask of at least 500 on the opposite side? Example: at high of bar it would looks like 0x500 Thanks P Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-05-14 19:21:22

That alert would be the following: =AND(BVAP(H, 0) = 0, AVAP(H, 0) > 500) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hello, Is there a way to do the same but for the previous bar@4 and diplay the alert in a spreadsheet as a result =1 to be able to automate a behaviour resulting from that event? Thanks, Paul |

There is not a way to test the previous bar at a relative position (such as High or Low). When you use the Offset option within the BVAP and AVAP functions, it gives you the volume at the price set for the current bar. For example, if the current bar High is 4321.00 then when you ask for the Bid or Ask volume for the High from a previous bar, it will give you the volume from that bar at a price of 4321.00 (not at the High for that previous bar). Refer to the information here: Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning: BVAP But in order to use the condition in another study, you would want to use the "Spreadsheet Formula" and put the condition into the formula for that study. The Spreadsheet Formula uses the Alert syntax, so it would give you the True/False (1, 0) results you could use elsewhere. Might have found a way to display the completed auction @4: spreadsheet Formula (SF): example: and(BVAP(H,0)=0,AVAP(H,0)>0) + study price overlay (SPO) of (SF) + spreadsheet study for trading computing the SPO with results @3,4,5... |
