Hello, In my main price chart I'm using the "Study/Price Overlay" study to pull in data from another chart (nasdaq tick). I'm using this as an indicator in my main chart. I've been doing this for many years without issue, and suddenly, without me making any changes, it's acting oddly. It only updates from the "top" of the minute to the "bottom" of the minute (from <hour>:<minute>:00 to <hour>:<minute>:30), then freezes until the top of the next minute, after which it catches up all at once and starts acting normally again for the next 30 seconds. The chart that is providing this data to my main price chart (the nasdaq tick chart) isn't exhibiting the same behavior--it's working fine. I updated my Sierra Chart to the latest release to see if that would help, and it didn't. If it matters, I'm using Interactive Brokers data feed. Is there a setting I need to change? |

There is actually a better way to do this now, and that is to use this particular study instead of the overlay study: Add Additional Symbol And yes the Interactive Brokers data feed absolutely can be the cause of the problem if there is an issue with time stamping. And that is a very probable issue with Interactive Brokers. You really should use the Denali Data Feed: Denali Exchange Data Feed You just have to activate the necessary exchange fee and that would be as low as 1.25 USD per month. So there is no reason not to use this data feed. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
