Support, For some reason, charts that are set to have no linking are changing when another chart with the same symbol is changed. Very odd. Chart Settings >> Linking >> Link Number (List) is set to NONE. This should mean that the chart is NOT linked to any other chart, right? Occurring in v2433 (43512). Please advise. Thank you. |

What exactly is changing? Keep in mind that the Global Cursor and Synchronize Charts options under Tools. Refer to the information starting here: Chart Drawing Tools: Global Cursor (Tools >> Global Cursor On) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Steps to reproduce issue. Open a new chartbook. Go to Find Symbol. Select an active working Symbol. Click on Open Intraday chart button. Close Find Symbol box. Go to Chart Settings >> Linking and make sure Link Number (List) is set to NONE. Click Apply All to save it. Exit the dialog box. Then duplicate the chart. You should now have 2 charts in the chartbook with the same Symbol. Go to Chart >> Perform Futures Symbol Rollover on either Chart. Change the Symbol in the Dialog Box to a different month, and select OK. You will notice that BOTH charts will change symbol. This should NOT occur, as the Link Number (List) setting should control as it is set to NONE on either chart. Can this be fixed? Thanks again for your help. Maybe read these: Chart Menu: Perform Futures Symbol Rollover (Chart menu) https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/ChangingFuturesContract.html#PerformFuturesSymbolRolloverCommand Press OK to rollover the futures contract symbol. In the case of an Intraday chart, all Intraday charts that you currently have open for the same symbol, in all Chartbooks, will be rolled over to the new symbol. In the case of a Historical Daily chart, all Historical Daily charts that you currently have open for the same symbol will be rolled over to the new symbol.

Thanks, I missed that. Support, can I make a feature request to add a checkbox to rollover only a single chart then? Thanks again. |

We have set this as a Feature Request. Just keep in mind that we do not know when we can get to any particular request.
