Hi, When I am looking at my chars on Sunday, I noticed that Friday last/closing prices that are shown on a chart are incorrect. when I go to "Edit/Download Data - Intraday Chart" I see that closing price is correct. Next morning Monday the last/closing price that is shown on a chart is correct. This creates problem for me as it affects studies that I am using to make my trading decisions. During a week I do not see the issue. Please advise how the correct prices can be displayed right away. I have charts for YM, RTY, ES, HG, GC, PL, SI, ZC, ZS, ZW |

I read the documentation. I turned Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> Allow Real-Time Updating of Historical Chart on and off in conjunction with Edit >> Download Data - Historical Chart. it did not help, last price did NOT display closing price. When a chart is loaded I can see that Last price displays closing price for a split of a second than shows last received price. In 12.3 Historical Chart Prices "If there is 24 hours trading for a symbol, then it will not show the day session close or official settlement price. It will show the most recent trading price received." my markets trade 23 hours with one hour break. Do you consider it to be 24 hours trading? if not please explain why the closing price is not displayed |

What symbol are you referring to?

I tried for those: YM, RTY, ES, HG I am pretty sure all of my symbols (see first message) would have behaved the same |

More info: today several symbols did not display correct closing price. Using "Edit >> Download Data - Historical Chart" resolved it. For debugging of my original issue you can focus on: the closing price is not displayed after "Edit >> Download Data - Historical Chart" on the weekend when last session ended but new session did not start yet.

For those symbols you will see the official settlement price for the closing price of a bar. What you see for the last bar could be the last trade price. After disabling Allow Real-Time Updating of Historical Chart reload the chart with Chart >> Reload and Recalculate. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
