Connecting Only Once a Month to Trading Account to Support CME Group Exchange Fees

Dear SC Team, To activate the CME reduced exchange fees when we have a trading account, do we have to complete the procedure on the very first day of the month, or can it be done a couple of days before the beginning of the month like for instance today for the month of September?
