Hi, I am having issues trying to create a chart that contains monthly volume profiles. When I use a historical chart, the volume profile is very coarse and not very precise. It seems like the resolution of the profile is not high enough and we notice many strong steps and flat zones. https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1661783263450.png Compared to for example my intraday weekly volume profiles as below (VP are much more precise). https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1661783317418.png Is there a way to create an intraday monthly volume profile chart? Or is there a way to get the volume profile to be more precise when using a historical chart? Many thanks for your help |

First, refer to the following for why Historical Daily (and higher) timeframe Volume by Price profiles are "coarse": Volume By Price Study: How Volume by Price is Calculated for Historical Daily and Higher Timeframe Charts As referenced in the above, you need to create a chart using the Intraday Only data for whatever timeframe you are wanting in order to get the full data for the Volume by Price profiles. Is there a way to create an intraday monthly chart that always starts on the 1st of the month? Specifying 30 or 31 days results in a variable start date for each bar. Thanks

(intraday) Chart Settings -> Bar Period Type -> Monthly Bars (second from the bottom of the list) |
