Hi What does Volume study represent on TICK chart? If tick is calculated as "No. of Up ticks - No. of Down Ticks" one would think the chart represents volume itself, unless there is actual number of transactions in the data per each bar. Also, what does UpTickVolume & DownTickVolume studies represent on TICK index chart? Lets assume I have these indicators on 1 min TICK-NYSE chart, can anybody explain what sort of data is used in the calculations of the studies? I cannot find meaningful explanation what sort of data is available for TICK-* symbol. Thank you. |

See number 14 here: Sierra Chart Market Statistics: Calculations and Algorithms Also, what does UpTickVolume & DownTickVolume studies represent on TICK index chart? Refer to the documentation for these studies, they do exactly what the documentation says. They have no special behavior on the TICK symbol.
