Some, but not all, of my daily SPX charts stopped showing daily price bars on Aug 5, 2022

Good afternoon. As the title indicated, the daily charts in question have previously maintained daily price bars in normal fashion through Aug 4, 2022. Since then, it is as if each day's range is showing up as one single weekly bar. When the cursor is pointed on this last bar, the tool values window shows the correct date information and price values. I noticed this on Monday this week, and recalled seeing your System Notification Message: 2022-07-04 Important Notice about "not receiving delayed data? To solve, You need to update to the current version." .... which is what I did. I'm now running version 2422, but that has not corrected the issue. I assume there must be another issue or incorrect setting. I appreciate the help.

The data is definitely available, as we are able to open a daily chart for SPX500 without any issue.

With that chart active, select Edit >> Delete All Data and Download. Let us know if this resolves your problem.

Thanks, but as mentioned on the first thread, only 2 daily charts (out of 12 daily charts) in my SPX chart book are affected with this issue. If I do this Edit >> Delete all data and Download .... will I lose all the overlays on the chart? I have a Huge amount of work into this specific chart. Furthermore, I just tried to open a new historical SPX500 daily chart ... and the last bar on it is dated August 4, 2022. Something is not right. Regards

You will not lose any overlays. All of the charts will reload and recalculate.

But, given that only 2 out of 12 charts are affected, it makes us wonder if these two are set differently than the others, in that they are perhaps Intraday Only Charts and not Historical data charts. You can check this under "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting >> Chart Data Type".

Not that this would really make a difference. But the other thing then to check is on that same window and see how you are loading the data and whether you are using a Date Range, with an end-date of August 4, 2022.

If it is not the above, then we still need you to select "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". This should force the download of the data to today.

Ok, now we are getting closer to the answer. the Chart >> Data Type is indeed set on Historical as it should be ... but the window does show "Date Range in File To" as being August 4, 2022. So do I simply backspace that 2022-08-04 out of that box and leave it blank, then Apply All, or?
Also this brings up another thing ... the window shows "Days to Load for Historical Chart Data Type" as being 4380. What is the maximum time frame I can enter on that line, because I would really like more days available on all my charts, and it seems my weekly and monthly charts are limited by the day range setting. I note there is no figures in the boxes for "Load Data Limiting Method: Date Range"

In the end, how you handle the data is up to you. You can either select the "Number of Days to Load" or you can use the "Date Range". If you use the "Date Range" option, then you will need to keep the "Date Range To" blank in order to get the current data.

The amount of historical data is going to depend on the particular symbol, but refer to the general information at the following link for about how much is available by exchange:

Good afternoon. Once again having an issue directly related to the previous posts in this thread. A number of my older charts have the data limiting "Date range in file to" date set to 2024-02-02 ... and they have not been updating since that date, even though the "load data limiting method" was set to "use number of days to load".
It appears these charts are stuck on that end date ... I have tried to get that 2024-02-02 value deleted and left blank (as you suggested in a post above), but can not accomplish that. I tried going to Edit >> adjust data and can't get that value to change. I delete the date, hit ok, the screen blinks, and nothing changes.
I also tried the edit >> delete all data and download .... the screen blinks, and again, nothing happens.
This issue seems to be affecting a number of the TSX stocks that I'm charting (but not all). For instance, everything described in the preceding paragraph is relative to my previously constructed charts for stock symbol MAG.TO ... if I download a new historical chart for MAG from the US index ... it loads fine and right up to the current date. If I download another instance of a new historical chart for MAG.TO ... once again it only loads data up to Feb 2, 2024 ... just like the older charts. I'm baffled ... Appreciate your help.

WE are a bit confused. We do not have data for the TSX any longer. We did at one point, so if you had older data from us, then that could explain why you can only get the data to a certain point.

For instance, if we try to open a chart for MAG.TO, we do not get any data at all. In fact, we get an error stating that there is no historical data file.

So anything you already have for any TSX stocks will still pull up, but you will not be able to get anything further from us.
