The best way to find the particular symbol you need is to open the File >> Find Symbol window. Then go to the appropriate exchange and find the entry you are looking for.

If the information on our servers is correct, then you are using our Teton Order Routing Service, in which case, the general symbol format for NQ for this service is NQ?##_FUT_CME. You find this in the Find Symbol window under the CME exchange. Then open this section to see the individual contracts and select what you want.

Hello John,

so I did what you said and I only see contracts for this year. Also, I clicked the link you sent me and don't see anything about continuous contracts.

The reason I want all of NQ data, is because I want to do monthly volume profiles and want to back test

So I was able to get data until 2010 for the Nasdaq by changing the chart settings. How can I get it to the inception of the Index?

Continuous Futures Contract Charts

Go to Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol, 5th item down is Continuous Contracts

Tanks for responding, I actually just figured that out but my data only goes back to 2010. trying to figure out how to get until inception of Nasdaq

There is at least 20 years of historical daily data available for NQ futures. Not 10 years.

You should have no trouble accessing it. You need to use a Continuous Futures Contract chart.
