Hello, I'm attempting to use a quoteboard in a chartbook. The session times change when I change the symbol. When I go back to a symbol that I initially corrected the session times, I have to correct them again. CL for example: Do I change the symbol settings for the specific times in Global Settings >> Symbol Settings? Do I uncheck "Apply intraday session times to intraday chart"? for this example I am referring to TPO charts. Screenshots of settings uploaded. |

You need to set two different items to be disabled (no). First, set Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times >> Apply Intraday Session Times To Intraday Chart to No. Then ensure that the option for Global Settings >> Symbol Settings >> Apply Intraday Session Times to Intraday Chart is not enabled (unchecked). Refer to the information here: Chart Settings: Apply Intraday Session Times To Intraday Chart (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times >> Intraday Chart Session Times menu) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Apply Intraday Session Times To Intraday Chart set to No. Global Settings >> Symbol Settings >> Apply Intraday Session Times to Intraday Chart is not enabled (unchecked) After following these directions, I then corrected the session time for ES. Then switched symbol to CL and corrected the session time. Switched symbol back to ES and the session time reflected that of CL. So this exercise did not work. Next step? |

Refer to: Chart Session Times: Session Times Automatically Changing Unexpectedly It is working properly if the Session Times do not change at all when you change the symbol of the chart. It sounds like what you are wanting is the session times to not change at all? Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Yes that is correct. I want to be able to enter the session times for ES (9:30-1400) for example. Switch to CL and have the session times be accurate for CL (9-14:30). But when I switch from ES to CL, the session times for CL are that of ES. I've read this "Chart Session Times: Session Times Automatically Changing Unexpectedly" and done this "You need to set two different items to be disabled (no). First, set Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times >> Apply Intraday Session Times To Intraday Chart to No. Then ensure that the option for Global Settings >> Symbol Settings >> Apply Intraday Session Times to Intraday Chart is not enabled (unchecked)." And still cannot figure it out. |

You need to set in the Global Symbol Settings for the symbols patterns for those symbols, the session times that you require: Global Symbol Settings And then keep this option enabled in the chart: Chart Settings: Apply Intraday Session Times To Intraday Chart (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times >> Intraday Chart Session Times menu) The session times will then be set appropriately every time you change the symbol.
