Hi there, I currently manually draw volume profiles on price swings to see various levels as well as having the Daily Volume Profile up and running. The thing is, I can't seem to find a setting that allows me to draw the Profile from the start and to then have the profile continue to update with the current price as time moves on. All I can do (have played around a lot) is to draw the Profile, it has an end point, and then keep manually dragging it across to the right as time continues which means it's outside of the original manual profile 'box' which is used to draw the Profile. Is there a way of setting it up so it keeps updating to the right as time continues? Photo attached to show you what happens/what I'm talking about. Note the Profile square which denotes the area where calculations are taking place, and notice how time has moved on which means I have to manually drag it to the right to keep the profile current. Many thanks for any help received. Bootsy |

The Drawn Volume Profile is doing what it is meant to do. Give you a profile for the time period defined by the first and second point. There are a couple of things you can do to get what you want. Recommended: Create your Drawn Volume Profile as you want it, then go to the Settings for that Volume Profile (the settings are available like any other study) and change the Volume Graph Period Type to From Start Date-Time to End. Other Option: When you draw the Volume Profile be sure you include as much space to the right of the chart (beyond the end of the bars in the fill space) as you can. This will set the End Date/Time further out. But, it will only be as far as you can draw it, hence the reason the above is the recommendation.
