Minimizing SC causes system shut down ???

When I try to minimize SC(2394), it sends the computer into a restart. I only happens when I have a particular chart (ES volume profile) in a particular chart book when I'm zoomed in on a section of the chart. I've rebuilt the chart book from scratch - still happens...and it happens consistently. Happened with previous versions but I don't remember which one it started with. Sometime in the past 2 months.

Took me a while to see the pattern but it's consistent. System goes into a normal restart with no issues and SC works fine after a restart. No issues minimizing/Maximizing SC unless that chart is on screen.

Any ideas (other than don't try to minimize when looking at that chart.)

Thanks.

You can attach the chartbook and give us the exact steps, although we doubt that we will be able to reproduce it. But, if we can, then we can fix whatever is causing the issue.

Refer to the following instructions for how to attach a chartbook:

here ya go. I also doubt it'll reproduce. I was just hoping there would be an off chance someone else had seen it and knew of a BIOS or system setting that should be changed. Thanks for checking in out. I have SC maximized and I zoom in on the MP chart then try to minimize SC.

We are definitely not going to be able to reproduce this problem.

It is system specific.

Are you using the OpenGL option? This is the option we are referring to:
Graphics Settings: Use OpenGL for Chart Graphics (Global Settings >> Graphics Settings >> Other)

What is the graphics adapter and driver that you are using?

The most important thing we need to know is whether you are using OpenGL. If not, there is not anything we can do. If you are using OpenGL we may be able to pinpoint a workaround.

As expected, we are not able to reproduce any issue.

We thought of a workaround for this. We will have a new release out today that we will want you to test.

This is stellar. On line now for only a couple minutes and then not back on line until around 3pm EST for the close. I'll certainly put it to the test as soon as possible after that. Thank you.

moved to 2411. went through the sequence of actions that had caused the shut down about a dozen times. No issues. Not sure what y'all did but it seems to have done the trick. Thanks.

That is good.

We just hope it does not cause a problem for other users.

We just hope there is not a risk of a chart not drawing when it should.

Simply there is no attempt to draw the chart when the window is minimized but if there is any false indication of that from the operating system, then the chart does not draw.

We are sure we have had this check in the past, but it probably was removed because it does cause some issues. But we will see what happens.
