HI Sierra,
Help would be appreciated.

Please see https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1656521502582.png

The Shaded Rectangle is the area that I selected for the draw volume profile.
As you can see, though, the given draw volume profile is less than half of that area.

Whenever I select an area to draw volume profile, I only seem to get a profile for ~the last 50 percent of the region.

My guess is that the sierra doesn't recognize the volume for the first half of the profile or something along those lines.
All the data is denali. Stocks, futures or whatever. Same issue.
Do I need to increase to download more tick data or something like that?

Thanks

The Draw Volume Profile tool is very straightforward. Just select the first point and the last point and it will give you the Volume Profile for all the bars between those two points. You do not need to even create the rectangular area and ensure bars are within the rectangle, as it is basing the profile on the time points for the entry points.

We just tried this to ensure there was nothing odd occurring with the same symbol you had and the same settings (128 minutes) and the Drawn Volume Profile worked correctly.

Please try again to create the Drawn Volume Profile. Remember, you do not need to create the entire rectangle, just be careful of where you place your first and last points along the x-axis to include the data you need.

Let us know if you continue to have issues.

Thanks,
the rectangle was to show the area I had selected - otherwise you wouldn't have known that the profile is incomplete. It was for illustrative purposes only.

Here is the solution. I went into chart settings --> market depth --> max market depth data days to load.
I changed this setting from 10 to 30 and now it draws further back.

The Setting you reference does not have any impact on the Drawn Volume Profiles. The Volume Profile does not use the Market Depth data at all.
