In sub instance, volume showed 4x normal for some reason 80k on ES 5m bar at 3pm ET. 15m chart at same time did not show this, was accurate.

After reload and recalculate command, volume on 5m bar was shown correctly at 19k. Have not seen this before. What could cause this/how could it be avoided, and how could I tell when it is occurring?

You are making reference to a study not from Sierra Chart. We cannot help with that.

Also make sure the sub instance is not using a Data Files Folder setting, being used by any other instance of Sierra Chart. By default it will not.:
General Settings Window: Data Files Folder (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Paths >> Files and Folder Paths)

Otherwise, we do not know what the issue is in your case.

The sub instance is not sharing a data files folder with any other instance.

The problem exists with the regular volume study also.

It is also apparent with the volume shown in the compact tool values window.

Reloading and recalculating the volume corrects the overly high values initially loading.

This makes no sense to us. We do not know what the problem is in your case. We think the issue could be caused by a malfunctioning custom study.

Run Sierra Chart in safe mode:
Sierra Chart - Software Login Instructions: Using Safe Mode

The issue is definitively not with Sierra Chart itself.

Same result in safe mode in this chartbook. In a new chartbook the issue does not appear.

The chartbook is complex. What could cause this?

Any suggestion on how to fix it without starting over from scratch?
