Hello everyone,

I didn't quite understand the explanation of your article about the rangebar chart because my english is not so good. What helped me was the article that I found open = close but.

It's about the range per bar. What is the difference of "open = close" -- and "new bar on range met & open=close"

when I look at my chart there are no gaps as i would like. But what is the difference? except that the candles look a little different ?

The difference is that with Range Bar Open=Close, the new bar is started when the range setting is exceeded. Whereas with the Range Bar New Bar When Range Met Open=Close, the new bar is started when the range is first met (not exceeded).

Thanks for the answer. Just as an example. open = close when the market has 5 ticks setting. And the market runs from 3500 to 3505, isn't a new candle formed until the 3506 is traded?

Range bar met by close is when the market reaches 3500 - 3505 is the next candle formed immediately?

With Range Bar Open=Close, the new bar will start when the price reaches 3506 (or goes back to 3499 after reaching 3505).

With Range Bar Met Open=Close, the new bar will start when the price reaches 3505.

I've been trying to get this to work - I have a range setting of 14. The information at the top of the chart says "3.5 Range", but the actual candle size is 15 ticks, not 14. I've tried all of the range bar selections on the chart settings page, but all of my candles are 15 ticks, not 14. What am I not understanding?

Please try using the Range Per Bar - True and see if that give you what you expect. Refer to the following:
Chart Settings: Intraday Chart Bar Period >> Bar Period Type >> Range Per Bar - True (in ticks)
