Automated trading is not triggering trades in real time but works perfectly on replay.

I was wondering if anyone has a clue as to what could be causing my problem. I have an automated trading strategy based on a color bar alert. The study is sound, and when back tested it works perfectly on the chart replay. It triggers the trades flawlessly. In real time, a colorbar alert will intermittently be triggered and an trade is not initiate when it should. There is no error on the log or anything of that nature. It doesn't matter if it is in SIM mode or live trading. When I reply the chart where the missed trade occured in real time, it is triggered as it should with the replay). It only matters if it is in real time vs replay. Even if a trade is missed, if I let the day continue on, other trades will still be initiated after a missed trade. So it has nothing to do with max number of trades/positions/or profit loss shutting of the trades for the day. (

Is there something about real time data that creates anomalies with automated trading?

I also thought it may be due to the fact that the alert relies on 2 different timeframes. But even when the signals are obvious (in other words, in the higher timeframe the condition isn't flipping back and forth in relation to the signal in the lower timeframe that is causing it. As an example, the MAs flipping over and under while the lower time frame MAs are signaled.

I hope someone out there has some input into this matter that is causing me to pull my hair out.

Thanks!
