Using Denali data, the 1:29pm EST 1 minute BAR at 8.699 is blank, this is amidst the massive selloff today on high volume. I do not believe it is a Denali data issue, I see the same on other feeds also. CME Price limit is 10% below the reference price of 9.293, which was not reached. Was trading halted at exchange level for 1 minute only? Does anyone know how to find out what actually happened and why? Is there any way within Sierrachart to be made aware if a market is in HALT status? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-06-08 20:09:34

Yes you can tell the status of the market through the Quote Board. There is a field you can add called "trading status".

Does that field update immediately? Is it possible to alert on it? Since it was only for 1 minute, I'm not sure it was an official exchange halt. Is there any way to see what the status was and find out what happened at that time today? |

Looks like it may not have been a HALT but a DYNAMIC CIRCUIT BREAKER: https://www.cmegroup.com/confluence/display/EPICSANDBOX/Dynamic+Circuit+Breakers Is there a way to notify/alert on this in Sierrachart? |

Does that field update immediately? Yes.Is it possible to alert on it? No.Is there any way to see what the status was and find out what happened at that time today? Also rather than a halt you should also be aware of when trading limits are encountered and that is not going to be shown in Sierra Chart. Since the market is still open. Thank you. CME informed me it was also a Velocity Logic event: https://www.cmegroup.com/confluence/display/EPICSANDBOX/Velocity+Logic They do update the status of the market during these events: https://www.cmegroup.com/confluence/display/EPICSANDBOX/MDP+3.0+-+Security+Status+Tag+Usage (tag 35=f, tag 327=2) Is there any way to update this status in Sierrachart or read it? An ability to alert on it also along with DCB/limits, would be very useful. |

Yes that message is processed by Sierra Chart, and it is identified in Sierra Chart as a "Halt". You can only visually see this though in the Quote Board. We could make it ACSIL accessible. We will do that. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point. You will need to use this function: double sc.GetSymbolDataValue(SymbolDataValuesEnum ValueToReturn, const SCString& SymbolForData = SCString(), bool SubscribeToMarketData = false, bool SubscribeToMarketDepth = false) First parameter needs to be: SYMBOL_DATA_TRADING_STATUS Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. How could one make an alert using that function?

You can create an alert within ACSIL, refer to the following: ACSIL Interface Members - Functions: sc.AlertWithMessage() For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
