Hi I have followed instructions to reset the vbp at the US open but I can't seem to get it to reset. Do you have settings required to do this as I must be missing something? Thank you |

So do you want to have a separate Volume Profile for the regular trading hours?

I have tried different instances eg using an evening profile and day profile but I have never had the volume reset at 8.30am (US start). So now I have the dom just set to one session and am stuck! Atm I have the following... Volume Graph Period Type ......Trading day start time to end-reset at day session - Use Separate Profile for Evening Session ....... no Thank you |

What you have set should work. Get us a copy of the chart you are using for us to look at it and see. What you want to do works fine for us. But, your Session Times are currently set to the following: Start Time: 00:00:00 End Time: 23:59:59 Evening Session: No Therefore, depending on what you have your Global Time Zone set to, you are probably not going to see the reset of the VbP as it is not set to reset at the open of the exchange, it is set to reset at midnight in that time zone. It looks like you are in the UK, so midnight UK time is going to be 18:00 Chicago time, and midnight Chicago Time is 06:00 UK (these are just guesses as to what your time zone is set to). If you are just trading the CME Group, then we recommend setting your Global Time Zone to Chicago, and then your Session Times would start at 08:30 and if you want 24 hours it would end at 08:29:59. If you trade different exchanges, then we recommend setting the charts for the CME Group to Chicago and the other charts to their respective exchange time zone. Hi I am in the Uk and I do only trade CME. I have changed my global time to Chicago but at the opening an hour ago the vbp did not reset ( I closed and reopened SC). Is there something else I could try? Thank you |

No. Do I need evening session too? If yes, then I need to use 8.30.00-14.14.59 and 15.15.00-7.29.59? Thanks |

The Evening Session is up to you. It just depends on what you want to see. If you use a separate Evening Session with the way you have your VbP setup, then your VbP will reset at the beginning of both the Regular Trading period and the Evening Session period. If you do use the Evening Session, then you would want to set your Session Times to the following: Start Time: 08:30:00 End Time: 15:59:59 Evening Start Time: 16:00:00 Evening End Time: 08:29:59 There is a 1 hour break for most CME Group instruments from 16:00:00 to 17:00:00, but this will be dealt with internally, so you will see a missing hour at that time.
