Hello, Can I please get help with how to set a vertical line on a Number of Trades Bar chart so a vertical line is draw on every candle? Using Chart Menu: Vertical Grid won't work as I am needing to overlay this vertical line down to a lower Number of Trades Bar chart. Thanks, |

You need to go to Chart>> Chart Settings >> Grid >> Vertical Grid and set the Interval Type to Bar and the Interval Value to 1. And set Show Vertical Grid to Yes. These instructions apply to the latest version.

Thank you for your answer. My only worry with placing the lines this way is I don't know how to use Study/Price Overlay to bring the vertical lines down to my lower Tick chart. If I use Study/Price Overlay which parameter is the Input Value to be able to overlay these lines into another chart? Once Again Thank You, |

Try this:Use the Color Bar Based On Alert Condition study on the higher tick chart, with a formula like this: =C Set the DrawStyle to Background, set the Width to 2, and hide the study. On the lower tick chart, use the Study/Price Overlay study, and reference the color bar study. |

Tom, THANK YOU very much for your help. I place the Color Bar Based On Alert Condition as you mentioned and it works and I am able to overlay it down to my lower chart. One question when I put the crosshairs on the higher tick chart and look to the lower I notice that it places the vertical line not correctly, I tried changing the value to: O = Bar Open H = Bar High L = Bar Low And also settings but was unable to render a correct synchronization of the vertical line. Is there anything I can do to remedy this? |

In the Study/Price Overlay study settings: - Set the Data Copy Mode to Earliest... - Set the Bar Time Matching Method to Containing |

Tom, I set it as suggested but it seems to not render it correctly as it now shows only lines all across the chart. I adjusted all settings but was unable to get it to work. If in case it helps determine what I have not set right here is a copy of CHT and picture. Sorry to ask again. |

Study/Price Overlay study on Chart #2 settings: 1. 'Study to Overlay' must be the color bar study on Chart #1. 2. 'Fill Blanks With Last Value' needs to be No. 3. 'Data Copy Mode' needs to be Earliest... 4. 'Bar Time Matching Method' needs to be Containing. Other required settings so that the crosshairs properly align between charts: 1. Both charts need to set Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times >> New Bar At Session Start to Yes. 2. The higher Number of Trades Per Bar value needs to be equally divisible by the lower Number of Trades Per Bar value, e.g. 10000 / 500 or 10240 / 512 |
