Your recent offering of NASDAQ TotalView makes this question much more pertinent. I have looked through the Support Board and see conflicting answers from you guys on this type of question. (Maybe the dates tell the story, I don't know.) Background: I was looking at CQG Integrated Client, which, granted, is far more expensive than Sierra Chart. However, I am able to take their data and do my own analysis. For example, if I can set up an intraday chart using 4 weeks of data with a VWAP, a moving average, and a MACD in CQG IC, I could use Excel RTD functionality to draw the exact same chart in real time outside of CQG IC. So is it possible to do this, i.e. access data, both realtime and historical, both equities and futures, in Sierra and use it for analysis outside of Sierra? It is possible with CQG IC. Is it possible with Excel RTD? Is it possible with Python? Is it possible, but only with your ACSIL? Are there any resources that you can point me to? Honestly, and I regret to admit it, I would pay something additional for a new higher tier "Service Package" to be able to do this. Thanks for your attention. |

What you can do is use the Spreadsheet Study: Using the Spreadsheet Study And then use this Spreadsheet Study input to write the spreadsheet price and study data to a file periodically: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SpreadsheetStudyInputs.html#PeriodicallySaveSheetAsTextInMinutes And there is a way to read this automatically into Excel. Check with the Excel documentation for how to read a text file back into Excel when the file is updated. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
