Hello, i had a couple of questions: 1. when i was with transact the letters for assets were shorter now its very lengthy as im with teton (eg. ESM22_FUT_CME(CBV) 15m). i use multiple charts on the chartbook and so the navigation process is harder i know i can change the size of letters, but that will change also the top part of the chartbook name as well. so is there a way to shorten the asset name or just decrease the size of the letters so more charts fit on the lows of the chartbook without using the side arrows ? 2.is there a hot key that i can press to zoom in the chart in a specific place? for example, i have zoomed out the chart to the maximum, but want that when zooming in it zooms where the cursor/pointer is. 3.if i want to draw a rectangle from the lows to highs of the candle for 6Bm22 it draws perfectly, but if i do it for FX-gbpusd it is not right on the highs and not right on the lows, its a bit off then i need to use snap to high/low. is there a way to set chart settings so it draws for gbpusd perfectly to lows and highs? 4. recently several assets have stopped moving, then i need to press "delete and download data" so the charts are live again. what causes this is there a way so its live all the time? in the past there were no such issues. Kind Regards, D |

1. You can not change the Symbol, that is set by the trading service you are using and has to stay as it is. But what you are really asking for is a way to change what is shown on the Chart tab. This can be done by using the option for Use Title Bar Name as Tab Label. Refer to the information at the following link and the item just above it: Chart Settings: Use Title Bar Name as Tab Label (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Display Items menu) 2. We are not sure exactly what you are looking for here, but refer to the Scroll Wheel Settings and note the one for Scroll Wheel Changes Spacing Normal. With 'Shift' Changes Spacing at Bar. It sounds like this may be what you are looking for. You will find the documentation for this here: General Settings Window: Scroll Wheel Setting (Global Settings >> General Settings >> GUI >> Scroll) 3. One of the reasons why there would be a difference is because the tick sizes are different. In particular 6B has a Tick Size of 0.0001 and GBPUSD is 0.00001. So it is going to be harder to get the exact High and Low with the smaller tick size without expanding the chart. Also, make sure the option for Tools >> Auto Snap on Creation is enabled when you are drawing in both charts. 4. We need to know the exact symbols for which you are having this issue. great, that was what i was looking for "Use Title Bar Name as Tab Label" great functionality! also scroll wheel settings are useful, but i wanted to have focused zoom. for example, i have zoomed out charts to maximum and by pressing some short key and using the mouse wheel the chart zooms to the specific bar selected. 4. it has appeared on different assets, for example, the last time it was on 6EM22. but i have noticed, that sometimes its not only on futures, but also on fx, i had it couple of times on fx-gbpusd. |

2. What you are stating sounds exactly like what the scroll wheel option we mentioned above does. 4. We would need to see your Message Log when you have an issue with the data stopping. It sounds like it is a connectivity issue, but the log should give us some insight. When it occurs again, particularly on a futures instrument, then follow these instructions to get us your Message Log: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#MessageLog For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

The scroll wheel option we mention is intended to work exactly as you are expecting, but we see that it is not working properly. We will look into that.

Sorry, but it turns out that I was not using the option correctly. It does work properly. In order to get the chart to scroll as you are wanting, you need to set the Scroll Wheel option to Scroll Wheel Changes Spacing Normal. With 'Shift' Changes Spacing at Bar, and then you also need to have the active Tool be the Chart Values/Crosshairs and you need to have the crosshairs active. The crosshairs then establish the bar which will stay stationary while the rest of the chart expands/contracts from that point. Did all the settings as you mention, but still there is no such result as i showed you in the video. chart values/crosshair is active and the scroll wheel settings are as you mentioned but it does not zoom in a specific place at all, if i press shift it just deletes bars from the right (on some of the charts) and focused zoom starts to work only at the last stages of zoom. if we zoom out to maximum or close to maximum then it does not zoom at the specific place at all. do i need to create a video for this or the issue is clear? |

If you are having issues with this: Changes Spacing at Bar It is not something we would help with because technically this may not always work as a user would expect. The implementation of this is very difficult and cannot always work as expected. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. ok, but the bars from the right keep disappearing if i zoom in and if i have zoomed out a lot and want a specific place it is still not specific, it becomes specific only after a lot of zooming.

OS's Accessibility features might meet your need. Here is an example of Linux Mint, attached 2 screenshots showing how it looks like before and after zooming. Mac OS has that feature too, not sure about Windows.
