CHART SETTINGs window gone now? (greay one) is this gone forever?new drop down is tedious

Hello, I downloaded the latest version of SC and now when I click on the CHART SETTINGS from a chart I no longer get the nice easy to see gray window with all the options for my chart. Instead I get a blacked out drop down list that i need to scroll around up and down inorder to find my settings and then I cannot see all my setting for this char in one nice new window. Did i accidentally click something that made this happen. I feel like i went from windows back to dos! Please help Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-04-28 21:20:04

You wrote all of that for me before I even asked the question! thank you if it means your jobs are easier and sierra will run more efficiently then I will deal with it until I get used to it. Thanks for the detailed reply. I also see we can now leave the setting boxes open and open multiple ones for different charts which is a HUGE step forward!! THANK YOU again bow!! We are in the process of updating the documentation for all the new windows, but it is long job. The Chart Settings has been done and we are close on the General Settings.

I have been using sierra on and off for 4 years and I have put a lot of time into it but I am not sure how to take a screen shot as you want me too. I took my own screen shot of it a very simple uploadable low res picture but i do not know how to include it in this thread. Basically it looks just like the BIOS of a motherboard with all of the CHART settings at the top in a horizontal line. the mouse does not even work to scroll down i have to use the mouse button to drag it and then go line by line in order to get my chart settings. if this is the new way then I will give up efficiency because i have 20 charts open with tons of indicators and sierra worked just fine but this new SUPER slow way of working with charts is extremely time consuming and actually gave me a headache. I cant even figure out where i go to change my DOM from points to currency. i hope my set up is incorrect |

that is the only way i know how to add a screen shot sorry actually what I just posted was "YOUR NEW WINDOWS USER INTERFACE" and i will tell you right now that if this is the future of sierra chart then very few will even begin to understand how the program works or how to make tweaks. I have been using your program for 4 years almost everyday and I understand how a lot of stuff works with it but no way i can even start to go down this road of trying to work with settings for charts in this new format. wow. it is like a brain game. because i have no idea where anything is anymore and i do not get a quick look at all my settings. my mouse wheel doesn't even work with it. Will i be able to use the older version of sierra chart for awhile? I do not think this is going to be easy for anyone to use anymore. Also, i noticed you started doing these odd windows with the data povider settings and even that was not very easy. these windows are not USER FRIENDLY at all. If it takes even more time for me to tweak stuff that negates the efficiency of any programming. I love sierra chart but if it gets even more complicated then i do not see how new users will want to use it at all. I hope it works out for you this new style but I am telling you right now that I do not think anyone is goin to enjoy it or see it as any benefit. Where do i go to change the DOM from points to currency. i clicked on 7 tabs and it took me 10 minutes and i still couldn't find it. You said sierra chart was taxed with the old windows dialog boxes ..funny i never had issue with them ever. Can i roll back my sierra and just use my old copy indefinitely ? One thing we notice is the font size is definitely too big. This limits what you can see in the window, unless you make it larger. Reduce the Settings Windows font: Settings Windows Interface: Colors and Font Settings if this is the new way then I will give up efficiency because i have 20 charts open with tons of indicators and sierra worked just fine but this new SUPER slow way of working with charts is extremely time consuming and actually gave me a headache. You can resize the window as necessary, change colors and also adjust the column widths: Settings Windows Interface: Colors and Font Settings Settings Windows Interface: Changing Column Widths Therefore, this is all configurable to exactly what you require. I cant even figure out where i go to change my DOM from points to currency. This is under "Trading" from the menu at the top. This is much more logically organized now.because i have no idea where anything is anymore and i do not get a quick look at all my settings.
