Stop order not working?

Hi,

I’m an Edge Clear client trading on Teton. Today I watched what was supposed to be a stop-loss order run through me by as many as 3 ticks. Lucky for me I was on the desk to get myself out— but I’m wondering if inverting my “target” price by negative <insert stop price in ticks here> (Ex: target1|-10T|Quantity1|MIT|P:-125)will accomplish my goal of being able to “fire and forget”?

No a negative offset for a Target will not work.

You also cannot use Market if Touched orders with Teton.

A stop order also has a limit price. Do you know how many ticks away from the Stop price the limit price was?

My offset was 4 ticks from my entry, not sure what you mean about the stop:limit disparity. You guys run an awesome service and it’s a first-world issue to complain about having to close out my trades before I leave the desk, but as a full-time student… I can’t afford to put risk-on before CBOT/Cash opens because I never have the certainty I’ll be high enough in the que to get closed out if I’m away from home for even a couple minutes. It’d be amazing if you integrate MIT into the service but, in any case, thanks a ton.

So did the market just move very quickly past the stop and even beyond the limit price and did not fill? Is this the reason it did not fill? We do not know.

Really at this point you need to contact your broker for help. This is not within the scope of our support.
