Hello Sierra, I have noticed that both candle and number bars are slow to update in real-time, whereas the DOM updates without any delay. Refer to the attached video for an example of the delay with a candle bar updating alongside a DOM. Denali 11 is the data feed being used, and the issue exists both if "SC Data - All Services" is used or "CQG WebAPI". The following Global and Chart settings are being used: 1) Global Settings > General Settings > "Chart Update Interval in Milliseconds" is set to "50" which is the default setting. 2) Chart Settings > Display > "Chart Update Interval in Milliseconds" is set to "0 (Use Global)" which is the default setting. 3) Global Settings > Sierra Chart Server Settings> Use Real-Time Data Compression (List) > "Standard Compression" which is the default setting. Two notes: 1) A single instance of Sierra is active with one chartbook open and four charts within the chartbook. These charts are: Daily chart, 1min candle chart, 5m number bars chart and TPO chart. CPU load is very low. 2) In replay mode, the candles and number bars update much faster, although there are still some delays with not all DOM price movements being reflected in the candle and number bars charts. 3) From previous using eSignal and Quantower, I can confirm both platforms display candles without any real-time delays alongside a DOM. Can you please assist on what may be the issue and a potential resolution, as real-time DOM, candle and number bar chart updates without any delays is required. Start with the following information: Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Improving Performance Of Chart / Trade DOM Then also refer to this: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing Date Time Of Last Edit: 2022-04-28 14:52:52

Hi John, Thank you for the link. Had tried all of the above before opening this support request, and tried again after your reply. The delay still persists. Could this be related to CPU and RAM processing power, or is this a delay with the Sierra platform? |

We see that we gave an incorrect post previously. We updated that response. It should have pointed you to the following page for additional things to look into: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often You should not be seeing a delay with the Sierra Chart platform when you have a simple setup. But as the charts get complicated and/or there are lots of charts, then you can start to run into issues with the computing power or the Internet bandwidth/connectivity. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
