Hello, After the last mandatory update, the "Write Bar Data to File" study has been acting up. It is not using the path specified in the study column, rather, it made up its mind and used the default value "C:\SierraChart\Data\{filename}", while I had it set for "D:\{filename}". Installing a fresh copy of SC did not solve this issue either. |

We are not seeing any issues with this study and it is saving out to the folder and filename we specified. Make sure you are including the filename with extension in your path.

Thank you for your reply, John. Here's a screenshot of my settings and the Message Log. Can you tell me where I did wrong? |

We do not know why, but for some reason the study does not want to write to the top level of drive. In our testing what we found is that if you enter D:\filename (as you have done) then it doesn't keep the path, but it does keep the filename. If you add a folder under the main drive letter, then it will save it to that path. For example, if you try to save it to D:\MyFolder\MyFilename.txt, it will work.
