From one user of a different platform: "We use Stop and Limit orders, with the ability to preset stop and profit prices and have them automatically placed when a trade is entered (simple bracket)." |

"Not sure exactly what you mean by “type” of orders but I just use limit orders with a bracket for a target and a stop loss. Sometimes a market order but, I try to stay away from those. 90% of my trading is in the ES…sometimes NQ & YM but, not much."

I've used OCO (one cancels other) meaning it's a bracket order between SierraChart and Tradovate. I like how easy SierraChart makes it to configure a one-click order brackets on the chart. Any routing for Forex or are there only Futures brokers? Might be nice to know if there are tools for trading Forex and for those situations and what tools are available for calculating position sizing based on percent risk of account. I've seen some nice tools for MT4 such as this one https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/30750 and the risk/reward tool in SierraChart is great, but I sort of would like something that would let me put everything on the chart visually and then hit the execute. Obviously, it's nice to have the order sent to the exchange without any concern about losing the computer connection or have a crash because the full open, stop, and take profit are all in the market and will be executed server side. Tradingview has introduced a nice little slider with their orders so you can put an entry and then drag a TP to set the profit and a SL for your stop loss to build a bracket order. Once everything is where you like it in term of risk, you can move the order to the entry location on the chart. The order system in SierraChart, as I've seen it doesn't have this type of ad-hoc visual nature to it. You have to plan ahead and make named configurations for the basic setups such as if you want multiple take profits and one stop loss and how much risk you are putting on etc. So if there are features in SierraChart that would make that portion of order entry more fluid and visual while showing risk taken, that might be really helpful to see... |

Hello, Could you explain/show how to use the "OCO Group Triggered", please? Let's say I have 3 targets for profits and therefore 3 OCO Groups. After the second target is filled/triggered, I would like to move the last stop to breakeven or breakeven + 1. I tried to set it before but didn't work the way I think it would for some reason, so I had to use "Offset in Ticks triggered" instead. However, using this requires me to set the offset to 2nd target + 1 to ensure that it would be filled before moving the stop. I also wonder if there's a way to program a hotkey or the DOM to submit a buy or sell limit order where the limit price is automatically set at a certain level (say top 1/3, mid, or bottom 1/3) of the previous bar. Thank you in advance. |

From a User email: "I love seeing those Horizontal Lines on the Chart where my orders are and also want to have a DOM that closely resembles what I had with TransAct."
