Hi there,

I recently installed sierra on my laptop (I've had it on my computer for over a year) i sucessfully also connected to the broker, however the charts and the cumulative delta were absent, i got in contact with the broker but they said there was nothing they could do if i successfuly connected to them.

do you have a resolution as im going to become a little more mobile.

please find attached image.

We assume that you are referring to the fact that your Cumulative Delta is flat until the last few bars. Most likely this is because you were not connected to the CQG data during the time when it is flat. Refer to the information at the second bullet point regarding historical data from CQG:

We noticed that you are on Package 11, but you are not using the Denali Exchange Data Feed. If you want to use the data from the Denali data then you will need to follow all the instructions at the following link:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges*

Otherwise, if you are going to use the CQG data, then you can change to Package 5.
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

Hi there ignore that,

So the trick is to remain connected irrespective whether the computer is on or not?, so will i always get a gap between switching from my laptop to computer, because my computer did not have the gaps, i don't think its a cqg issue

As long as you are using CQG you will have the issue of not having the historical bid/ask data when you are not connected to the data feed, since we are only importing 1 minute data to backfill any missing data. Again, refer to the information in the second bullet point at the following link for more information on this:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/Whats_New.php#SCVer2351

The real solution is to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed. Refer to the information here:

Hi there i think they may be a problem with my activation, it says i have 1 out of 3 but i have now installed sierra on my laptop so now i assume i should be using 2 activation, did i potentially mess up the activation?

That indicates how many Sierra Charts are running at the same time on different computers. Unless you have both your Laptop and your Desktop running Sierra Chart at the same time, it will just show 1. But you do not have an issue running the software at the same time on both machines.

Just be aware that you could have an issue with the data to both machines at the same time, if that occurs.

This will definitely be the case with the Denali Exchange Data Feed. Refer to the information here:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: Denali Exchange Data Feed on Two Computers Simultaneously

No, you do not need to change brokers. You can continue to use Sierra Chart with CQG and get your data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed.

But, we certainly do recommend using our Teton Order Routing Service if you are just trading the CME. It is a high-quality, low-latency service and has zero cost order routing fees. For more information, refer to the following:
