1) I duplicated a TPO chart to another chartbook and a series of lines are showing up that i cannot understand where they are coming from. Attached is a screenshot

2) the other issue i have been having trouble figuring out is that when try to copy chart drawings onto my Trade DOM from another chart I am often pulling images that are not on the original chart or are hidden either. The seem to be old lines that were deleted on the old chart at an earlier point in time

3) is there a way to attach the Trade DOM (not chart DOM) to a chart ?

1. Those lines look like "Developing POC/VAH/VAL" lines, although we do not know why they would be displaying as they are. Check your Volume by Price settings to see if the POC/VAH/VAL lines are set to be displayed and if they are, then turn them off and see if they go away.

Otherwise, you would need to look at your other studies and see where the lines are coming from. There has to be a study that is creating them, you would just need to find it.

2. You can not copy drawings to the Trade DOM. The Trade DOM does not really have a concept of bars in the way the Charts do, therefore the drawings will not copy correctly. Most likely what you are seeing is just drawings that are not being drawn properly.

3. No - you can not attach the Trade DOM to a Chart. This is why the Chart DOM exists.

1) The lines were from a study overlay that was changed significantly when the study was duplicated to a new chartbook. This has happened to me on other occasions as well with different charts/study overlays

2)I have actually been copying drawings/mainly tools such as horizontal lines and extending rectangles onto the DOM and have not had any problems with those. I will plan to continue to use them with caution but have found them quite valuable. The only thing I have noted is that for some reason older drawings from the original chart will still show up on the DOM after they have been removed from the original chart for some reason. I have found that I can manually delete these and then they are gone

3) I will start experimenting with the Chart DOM. I looked at this a couple of years ago and decided not to go that route because it was not as easy to trade directly off the DOM using a point and click approach at that time. I found that the DOM was a bit "shaky" when i tried to enter trades. I assume that there is no way to easily transfer my Trade DOM configuration into the Chart DOM config ? Also is there a way to spread out the entire chart over more than one monitor so as to not lose the space from the Chart DOM on that chart ?

Thank you

1. You would have to look at the source and destination charts and see what is occurring. Most of the time it is related to the Data Copy Mode and/or Bar Time Matching Method.

2. Items like lines and rays that are on the most recent bars should be ok on the Trade DOM, but you do need to be careful. And older, deleted, drawings should definitely not be showing up. If you can get us a Chartbook that shows this then please attach it to this thread for us to take a look.

You can attach a Chartbook by following these instructions:

3. There is not a way to transfer the Trade DOM setup to the Chart DOM. But one of the main things you will want to look at is the Scaling as you may want to set the Chart DOM to a Constant Range scale, which is how the Trade DOM is setup. This can eliminate the "Shaky" that you are referencing. Refer to the information for Scaling here:
Chart Scale and Scale Adjusting

In terms of spreading a chart over multiple windows it depends on how your Windows Operating System is setup to handle the multiple monitors. If the monitors are setup to display the information across the monitors, then it's just a matter of putting the chart where you would want it between the monitors.
