There are instances in which I would like to decrease my position size without full flatten and close, but sierra chart does not allow this because I am just under the broker's margin requirement. Allowing to decrease the position size to avoid full liquidation would save a lot of headaches. Also, not all brokers will liquidate at margin threshold there is often a day loss limit before liquidation that allows for a bit more flexibility. In either case a stop is set by the broker, why is Sierra chart not allowing position flexibility?

We see you are using the Teton order routing service. You can absolutely, reduce the quantity of the position, even if the account is under margin.

We just tested this in the simulation environment just now. Live trading on Teton works exactly the same way.

Do you already have working attached orders? And then you are submitting another order to reduce the quantity of the position?

You have to reduce the quantity of the Attached Orders first.

Position sizes must be reduced rapidly, key shortcuts are used to reduce the position. Is there an attached shortcut key that would simultaneously or just in time, or some other automated adjustment that would reduce attached orders before position sizes?

As far as I know what you are suggesting would probably force liquidate my entire position before I could alter anything with attached orders. Attached orders must also remain in order to fulfill their intended purpose.

What could happen is that we could in the case of scaling out, have that go into effect before a market order is submitted and hold the market order until quantity of the attached orders is reduced. We can make this an option.

No definitely not:

The quantity of them would just be reduced by the amount of the market order to close the position partially. They would remain.
