I trade with "disaster" stops in place and want to make sure those stops remain in place if my power or internet connection go down... I recently switched to Teton with Denali...I found in the documentation here: Attached Orders: General Management of Attached Orders The following statement: ----- "In the case of the following supported Trading services: LMAX and the Teton Order Routing Service, these Trading services use a server managed by Sierra Chart for order routing and the management of OCO and bracket orders. OCO and Bracket orders are always managed on the server regardless of how Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> Use Server Side OCO Orders is set. Therefore, all order quantity and cancellation management is done on the server. The way in which these OCO orders are managed on the server is exactly the same as Sierra Chart would manage them on the client side." ---- 1.) Could someone verify I have understood this 100% correctly...no matter what... my stop orders go to the SC servers and would in fact remain in place if I lose power or internet connection. Correct? *I have previously considered running SC on a remote hosted desktop just to mitigate the risk if I lose power or connection locally...but if I understand the above statement correctly it would seem kind of unnecessary to rent the remote desktop just to keep my stops in place...I realize there is still some advantages in terms of performance to running SC on a dedicated machine...but if stops are my main concern perhaps no need for the remote desktop?...I would appreciate to hear others users or SC staff thoughts on this. -Thanks in advance for the input. |

1. Yes that is correct. So long as the Stop actually has been placed, even if it is a not active Attached Order, and it is not a client-side managed Stop order. Refer to the types here: Order Types Yes no need for this: .but if stops are my main concern perhaps no need for the remote desktop?.
