Is there any reason why you don't have an option for the user to send these straight to another drive/folder rather than the default Sierra/Images folder?

I like to capture images and save them on a USB stick so I can take them to work to look at during my breaks and it is just that bit inefficent to have to retrieve them from the Sierra/Images folder rather than being able to save them directly to a USB stick like you can with some other trading/charting software.

We will allow the folder that the images are saved to to be customized.

I have downloaded the latest release, am I correct in finding that this enhancement has not yet been made?

Thanks

Just downloaded 1157 and I cannot see where this change has been made?

In addition I am intrigued as to why SC gives a file name in the format it does for these chart images. Below are three entries from my log:

The chart image has been saved to: C:\SierraChart\Images\ES-201409-CME 2000 Trades #1 41829.316.png | 2014-07-09 03:35:34
The chart image has been saved to: C:\SierraChart\Images\ES-201409-CME 2000 Trades #1 41829.317.png | 2014-07-09 03:36:15
The chart image has been saved to: C:\SierraChart\Images\ES-201409-CME 2000 Trades #1 41829.331.png | 2014-07-09 03:57:04

Why does it not include the date and time in the actual file name to make for easy identification when searching in Windows folder/file strutures? At present it is putting the '41829.331' type number in the file name which I am assuming is actaully date and time data that is not converting properly.

In the next release you will be able to specify the folder when saving chart images. The setting will be in Global Settings >> General Settings.

The filename will contain the Date and Time in a readable format.

Thanks for adding this.

The direction works to a specified drive/folder.

However the file naming is still not working right.

See log extract below:

The chart image has been saved to: F:\Sierra Charts\ES-201409-CME 2000 Trades #1 2014-07-12 015815.376.png | 2014-07-11 21:58:15

As you can see I downloaded this on 11 July at 10pm, yet the Windows file name says it is for 12 July, plus the time does not seem to be formatting correctly ie still showing numbers like 015815.376.

Thanks

The timestamp is in UTC. We will set it to the time zone of Sierra Chart.

This is the time:
015815.376

We will improve the format.
